You know I can't smile without you....

Sorry to give you a Barry song for the day.  My dad went with me to the concert.  We had a hoot!  All you could take in was a P&S, but I thought this was a cute photo.

Gordon for Mayor!

Vote for Gordon.  He's running for mayor of Bennington.  Stopped by today, in case he needs an "official" portrait for something.....you never know!  7D + 28-70 (and flash - of course)

John Deere

Had a 12 hour notice for this photo shoot today.  Didn't get a blue sky, but it was sure fun staging REALLY expensive tractors!

Squaw Creek

Deb & I went down to Squaw Creek this morning.  We left Lincoln at 5:30.  Note to self - in February, we should have left at 4:30.....ugh that is so early!  Well, we saw the mass fly-off as we stopped at the rest area.  There was still a large flock after we drove around and we did get to at least get to see a take off.  It was WOW!

Newest Angel Dogs

I used my 28-70 at F4 today.  Worked really well.  Love the colors.

Judy & Louie

Louie is 7 months old.  He will be an Angel Dog one day.  Right now he is a wonderful puppy!

Grandma

I needed a picture of Grandma for the paper obit.  This was taken shortly after I purchased my SLR....used the pop up flash, since that was all I had.  BUT, I'm glad the photo was taken, because now I need it!

Frosty morning

Everything was covered with a thick frost this morning.  It was an amazing drive up to Bennington.  I stopped many times as things caught my eye.

Grandma's day

Here are a few P&S shots from today.  I just shot off all of the sounds from the camera.  Mom wanted a few photos of the flowers.  I wanted a photo of  Pastor Andreas.   His main message from today was that we can go through life and search for hope, but until our hope is found in Jesus, the Christ, we will never be satisfied.

Grandma's FUNeral

As you can see, the cemetary provided a bit of laughter today.  Grandma's service was INCREDIBLE.   I think that everyone that came received a blessing.....I know I did.

Little Boots

These little boots were set out to dry. There is a wedding on Saturday and the families arrived today. We are the only non-family in the lodge where we are at - probably 15 rooms or so. They greeted us and even invited us for dinner.

Snow finally came

Today it snowed. We were out for 2.5 hours. It was a very slow start to our day. We ate breakfast late and then lingered in our lodge. Then Mom called and said that Grandma died this morning. Ahhh....now the morning makes sense. I was with Grandma last week and did 20 minutes of exercise with her. I hope that I can exercise a week before I die!

Fox on the patio

We were visiting with a friend who works here and she pointed out that the fox was outside the window. It was nearly dark and all I had was my p&s. Shot through the window too!

Privacy fence in Frisco

Creek side trail

Went on this 5.5 mile trail today. It was nice. The trail was multi-use. Saw several dogs running with their owners skiing along.

Aspens

We were on the trail for 3 hours today. Just nice to have fresh air and quiet.

Here comes the Bo

Bo is usually pulling a sleigh. On Saturday, he will be carrying a bride....so today he was out for a practice ride. He is a beautiful horse!
