Mirage

I walked over to the Mirage. More interesting things to see. It is fun to just stand and look around. So many patterns. So many colors.

At the hotel

I stopped in the garden before I left the hotel this morning. And I think whoever started the pattern for the drive, had a little too much to drink the night before....

Early morning with t3i and 50mm

Well, 8 am is not exactly early, but it is here in Vegas. These were taken in color, then converted to bw in photo gene on my iPad. They are straight from raw, with no sharpening applied, etc. Just fine for blogging I think. How does it look to you?

This is the statue of liberty that is on the new stamp. You would think the palm tree would give it away! Then you see a real fancy restaurant, by real fancy shops.

Out and about

I was standing in the window of this restaurant this morning, taking photos with my S95 and a man approached the window. I thought, oh great, I am going to get in trouble. Much to my surprise, he opened the door and asked if I would like to step inside to take photos. So, I did, but I did not pull out my other camera. I also went to MGM today and did a tv rating thing. Got half off a shirt for Darwin and lunch for me. Finally, you see the curious Darwin trying to determine if the gondolas are motorized. Yep, they are.

Downtown

Oh, yum, I LOVE vanilla bean chip ice cream. It is a good thing you cannot buy that flavor in a grocery store. It is also a goo thing that it is about a 15 minute walk to the shop. Other pics are HDR. All with the S95.

After a long nap, we drove outside of Las Vegas to see this beautiful place.

The weight had to be distributed on this plane, so Darwin and I went to the back row. Used the tilt feature of the S95. Beautiful sunrise.

SE Golf Team

I did a golf team shoot tonight.  The gals need buttons, so I really only need head & shoulders.  Used T3i & 100 F2 lens and 7D & 17-55 for the team shot.  All with flash.
