Backyard Dragonfly

This dragonfly with golden wings has landed on my Japanese maple this afternoon.  Of all of the angles that I took pictures from, nothing beat using the blue rain barrel as a background! 7D + 200mm with 12mm extension tube

They should be here soon

I have something new for my brain CS5.  Hopefully the pelicans will be arriving in the next few weeks and we can all go find them again.

Sunken Gardens - Painting with fish

Used my Variable ND filter so I could have a long exposure in daylight.  The fish just swam about and painted a nice picture on my sensor.

Sunken Gardens - Sunday Morning

Went back to the Garden's with Deb again this morning.

Darwin's IT Group

I took this picture yesterday.  I wish I would have had a bit more foreground, so I could have cropped out the last tier of lights.  7D + 17-55 at ISO 800 and flash.

Leadership Summit Pt 2

I went back after the afternoon session was over to take a few final pictures.

Leadership Summit

I went downtown to take pictures today.  I received an official press pass.  Wow....  Anyway, I can submit 3 pictures for the event.  It is a Christian conference, taking place in a non-church venue.  Since it is a restored historical site, I thought that I might submit these in black & white instead of color.

A final few Bread & Cup shots from this week

The pink creation is pickled quail's eggs...Darwin ate one, Kevin at one, and our server ate the other one.  I wasn't interested.
