Zephyr and her kingdom
I cannot use my EF-S lenses on my 1 Series camera. But, I can use them if I put an extension tube on first! This is my 60mm macro with a 13mm tube. Zephyr was checking out her backyard kingdom this morning.

Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center
Deb and I drove out here this afternoon. They were doing a controlled burn this afternoon. After a very long hike, we took our stools and sat down by the water.
I've never taken pictures of dragonflies in flight before. They're so fast and unpredictable!
Mr Muskrat came by to greet us.
A yellowlegs of some kind flew in across the pond.
And lastly saw a few turtles here and there. Entrance fee is $4. Worth every penny to just go out there and sit in nature.

Jackie turns 50!
Jackie had a surprise birthday party today. Happy birthday friend. I took my G11 and decided to pose people in the full shade and flash, so their eyes would not be squinting. Worked well.

Fort Hartsuff
Deb & I stopped at Fort Hartsuff. We were the only visitors while we were there. It was really strange. All the buildings are fully furnished and it was like the people that lived there were just out for the day. When we walked into the room with the clock, it was ticking! This was a photographers dream for natural light. G11

Sandhills adventure
Deb & I went on a weekend adventure in the Sandhills. We went out to a blind on Saturday morning to see the praire chickens.
After we got out of the blind on Saturday, we drove about 120 miles in 8 hours! We stopped about every 100 feet to take pictures of this and that. Here we are stopped to see the Great Horned Owl.
Windmills dotted the landscape and we enjoyed stopping at many of them where the ground nearby was flooded.
We camped here by the river in our pickup. It was awesome. There wasn't anyone else here.
We got up early to watch the sunrise. It was an amazing weekend!!! I did several videos of the chickens which are definitely worth a watch, so let me know if anyone wants to see them.
