Squaw Creek
We stopped at a gas station before we went into the refuge. As we were getting back in the car, I looked up and said "swans". I quick rolled down my window and took a few shots. I have never seen swans in flight - until today. What a great treat!
A red tailed hawk.
An eagle with a goose head - yum.
At the lunch room.
Lunch - snow geese.

Sunset - Happy Thanksgiving
The sunsets this time of year can be stunning. Darwin called me on his way home from work - what a guy. I'm so thankful for him. Happy Thanksgiving all.

Craigslist Photography Treasures!!!
An Eastman Kodak Scale used to weigh dry chemicals for processing.
Here's an advertisment for this system used in 1907-1920..... http://www.boxcameras.com/simplekodakway.html
Check out this one too - you could take it camping. I think it's me in the dress and Darwin is developing the pictures from the day!!!! http://www.nwmangum.com/Kodak/FTank-1.html
They came from a historical house in Florence, NE - the first town in Nebraska. What a fun connection to the past - we sure have come a long way since 1907 - although if you notice, the housewife is processing pictures in her home and I'm now doing the same with digital. Maybe it's really a case of what goes around comes around.
Stop by and measure yourself an ounce of chocolate chips any time!
