This off camera flash is wild. I have so much to learn. This carcus is out in my front yard. It was in the shade so I thought I'd practice a bit. Top shot is just light from side right. Bottom shot is from behind the tree straight into the carcus. Wild! 60mm macro, 430 flash + vertex
It is a nice overcast day today and so I stepped out to see what was going on. Lots! Moths, hummingbird moths and of course, loads of monarchs. 200 L If you want to know the secret of how to attract the monarchs......it is the butterfly bush + Joe Pye milkweed. They need the milkweed to lay their eggs on. I've had a few monarchs before, but adding the Joe Pye milkweed has made a huge difference.
Went to Sunken Gardens a few hours before Ryan's pictures last night. Took my XTi and 60mm macro. Oh what a small, sweet combo. Thrilled to have the 60mm back!
